on the fly with only 1 drawer??

I am trying to back up a copy of a dvd that has an error at 100%. my friend did it on the fly but I only have 1 drawer is there another way I can do it? I have tried to load it into nero burning rom, shrink, decryter and record now ...all did not want to take it in. I have heard that alcohol will do the trick...anyone had any luck with this type of problem???

If by drawer you mean drive, you can select the Image Recorder as your buring device in Nero and it will create an image of the DVD on your Hard Drive.

I will almost put money on that there is a fingerprint smudge right on the outer edge of the disc. Wipe the very outer edge with a soft cloth and see how you go.

have you tried a dvd rescue app such as dvd-x-rescue?
anyway - you can make an image of the disc (as said above or via other apps for image making) and then load the image with alcohol120%.
after doing that you can copy on the fly with nero because he thinks that you actually do have another drive (the virtual one made by alcohol).
