Want to put 6 clips on a DVD, author them and want them to be on one menu. For DVD lab if you use more than 1 clip (or movie) you need a menu for each clip which is then linked to the main menu. Other software I've seen only allows authoring one movie per disc. Anyone know if I can do this?

I hope I understand the question right,Because almost any Authoring program can do this,I'm sure DVD lab can.But I maybe wrong because I dont have it.
I know Ulead DVD factory ,Ulead DVDworkshop can,and most others.
What went wrong? what were your steps to come to this conclusion with the software you have tried? -
DVDLab can put up to 36 links per menu (DVD spec (correct me if I'm wrong someone)), so I have no idea what you mean.
Is it that you only want 1 link, that plays all the clips in sequence, or that you want 6 links, one to each clip, or that you want ???Cheers, Jim

This is confusing. I imported five 20 min. videos into DVDlab and it created 5 movies. I read the instructions at Doom9 to do this: all 5 movies are shown on the Main menu and can go on the same DVD. But to gain access to movie chapters you have to go to each seperate movie menu (which is linked to the main menu). I want to be able to access all chapters from all clips from the main menu and not deal with all the flipping back and forth between main and sub menus (in this case I would have 5 sub-menus). If I could make all of the movies into one movie then there would be less links, etc. Or if I could make each movie a chapter there would be less links, as well. In other words, I would like this to act like one movie which I can skip all the way through with the forward button and not have to stop and go back to the main menu. Confusing. I haven't figured out joining VOBs either.

The Doom9 guide is flawed. It deals with a beta version of DVDLab, and is outdated.
5 movies, with chapters, all on one menu, and you won't be able to read the writing on the screen, nor see which clip is which, because the frames will be too small.
It's easy to make each movie a chapter, just link to it from a menu.
To have all 5 play as one movie, just link one to the next, to the next, etc. Manually create 1 chapter point at the END of the first 4 movies (not the beginning of all 5 as you would assume).
To join vob's, right click in assets, browse to the VIDEO_TS folder, and select THIS .vob: VTS_01_1.VOB
DVDLab will then prompt you to demux and join.Cheers, Jim
