  1. Basically I transferred a PAL DVD (16x9) to NTSC DVD+RW. The disc will play okay however the picture isn't (16x9) or even a (4:3) image. The picture on my tv has just a slight bit of black bars at top and bottom of the screen? It's not widescreen/letterbox at all? I'd like the letterbox option to be done.

What do I need to do to make the video files become a letterbox image.

I've read through the guides posted yet this isn't even mentioned in them as a situation to overcome or if it may happen.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you in advance!

  3. You are right, sorry forgot to include the specs used. Also I have lost the Subtitles from the picture or I can not see them anywhere at the bottom.

I transferred the PAL disc with Decrypter 3.2.2.0. Read up on the guides here to change the PAL source to NTSC with ifoedit095 and save files. Backed up with DVD Shrink 2.3 and then Burned to rewritable first with Nero 6. Should I use another set of programs to attempt this?

The NTSC DVD+RW will play. The movie has a set of subtitles for the first 10 minutes and then the movie is all in English. I don't see any subtitles now anywhere??? I can however select them ON/OFF before in the menus and during PLAY. Would the fact that the video is now 4:3 cause the area for Subtitles to be pushed below my tvs screen? The picture is almost 4:3 and isn't letterboxed? I've noticed no issues with video jumping anywhere, nor audio sync issues after the steps I took. Again I'm interested in restoring the picture to letterbox, and getting the Subtitles back.

Whatever anyone can add to help me out. Thanks again!
