  1. I have just captured my holiday video from mini dv cam. This gave me around 17GB of footage. Edited in windows movie maker.

Now, this is too big to burn onto dvd, so i downsampled it to dvd with a lower bitrate using tmpgenc. That gave me a .m2v video file and a .wav audio file.

Now, when i try and mix/join the video and audio, it tells me
"multiplexing linear pcm stream to system stream is unsupported."

Can anyone please offer me some more insight as to what the problem is, or how to go about mixing them using another package maybe?

    Many thanks.

you can't mux wav pcm and mpeg video to a mpg. you can only author it as dvd vob files, use for example tmpgenc dvd author and add the m2v and then add the wav pcm audio.

  4. Thanks for the replies.

I want my 17gb avi holiday video to fit onto a dvd-r, authored with ulead dvd movie factory.
So i reduced it by converting it to dvd using tmpgenc, but as i say, it gave me an m2v and a wav, which i cannot use in ulead.

Baldrick...thanks for the info that you can't MUX PCM with MPEG video...
...please, is there a way in TDA to use PCM audio for a background MPEG? I REALLY don't want to be stuck using MPG audio for this. Many thanks.
