Not literally, but the big end (phnar, phnar) went whilst I was doing 75 down the M4. Still its a day off work ain't it :P

The big and small end bearings are at either end of the connecting rod.
The big end bearing is connected to the crankshaft and the small end bearing is connected to the piston wrist/gudgeon pin -

Fnar, Fnar is the sound uttered by Viz Comic Book character Finbar Saunders (see the pic posted by Craig) upon hearing a double entendre (i.e. a statement that has two meanings, in this case my "big end" which actually means something mechanical but which could also mean my bell end).
It was a Toyota Starlet which I had given to me by my mate as he didn't want it anymore.
