Hi. I have a movie that is subtitled, but the subtitles have to be imported seperatley when I view the movie with my media player(usually VLC Media Player, or BS player). In order to undertstand the movie, I went to a website that specializes in subtitles in all languages and I downloaded and English subtitle (8513.srt.txt). However when I play the movie and import the subtitles file, the subtitles don't sync up with the movie...when people are talking subtitles don't display until much later or when there is silence the subtitles show up.
Also, along with the movie, which has a .avi extension, there was a folder called "vobsub" and inside this folder were two files called "yojimbo.1961.xvid-knark.sub.rar - 1,646 kb" and "yojimbo.1961.xvid-knark.sub.sfv - 1 kb"
Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem?
Are the contents in my "vobsub" folder the key to my problem, if so how do I use the files inside?
Is the subtitle file that I downloaded corrupted or do I need to change setting on my media player in order to view to subtitles effectively?
Files:
Movie - yojimbo.avi
Accompanied files yojimbo.xvid-knark.sub.rar, yojimbo.xvid-knark.sub.sfv
Downloaded files - 8513.srt.txt
