  1. I understand this new format packs more signal into the final print but I don't know if you can treat it just like normal svcd on a standalone player.
    Can someone elaborate ???

    This is one of the formats used over at www.kvcd.net. You'll get better answers there regarding how to burn these and what kind of compatibility you can expect.

    The page says my unit will handle kvcd but not skvcd. Now I know not to download any of that format from the newsgroups.
