  1. Please help. As in subject, desperately seeking a region free code for my Samsung L-300 portable DVD player. I intially bought this player under the pretense that I can view burnt PAL DVD+R disks as most players on the market can accept both PAL and NTSC signals even though it is a region 1 player, however mine cannot. Guess I should have bought a cheaper chinese model which was almost half the price and can care less about region codes and color systems. What a pain this is. I would have like to view region 1 DVD's and also watch recorded programs from a pal system with this exspensive piece of equipment, so, please, can anyone help? Many Thanks in advance.

writable discs do not carry region coding. if it is a PAL disc and your player can't play it, it either can't play +R discs (region hack won't help) or it can't play PAL (region hack won't help). look your player up on the left to see it's limitations.

Not entirely true. In DVDShrink you can choose a region to limit your DVDR to.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. Firstly THKS for the replies. Anyway, I know that technically a region free hack should not help me in viewing PAL recorded disks. However, after reading about a hack (Gives me a link to another web site which offers the hack for sale) from this web site for Samsung's L200 where they claim that making the DVD player region free will also make PAL compatible I just thought that perhaps there may be something for my player as well. Unfornately, I was kinda mislead into believing that this player as most portables are, can or are able to view both NTSC and PAL signals. Please, if anyone can help, I would be ever so grateful.
