I believe the OD discs are CMC. However, I have used probably in the neighborhood of 200 of those discs and never had a burn problem, and all burned discs from over a year have played back without any problems. The price isn't too good however. BB has 50 packs for $39, so do what I do and print out the BB price off their website and take it to OD for a price match. They will match the price.

Thanks,
I had some Memorex CMC and they burned great except their playback was a bit jumpy from time to time so i'm looking for sth of higher quality.
any other thoughts... ?With all due respect... and there is respect... -
I don't think the Philips are as bad as the Memorex. I too had a lot of trouble with Memorex on my NEC 1100A burner, but very very few problems with the Philips. But if you want to try something different, I have also used Samsung without a problem (and discs still play flawlessly even after a year and a half), Fuji (were good, lately not so good), TDK, and Verbatim have always been good for me. I just purchased some Ritek online (haven't received them yet so I can attest to them). Give the Philips a try and see what you think. I really like them.
