    Has anyone tried 8X Taiyo Yuden DVD-R Media at supermediastore.com?

    TY is very good media but not sure if it's worth to spend $1.5 for a 8X Taiyo Yuden DVD-R Media. Any comment for this media?

    Well, you know the old expression "you get what you pay for." TY is excellent media by all accounts. After I use up my two Verbatim MCC 02RG01 spindles I'm probably switching to TYG01/G02 permanently.

    Quite a few burners support burning TYG01 (4X) media at 8x with stock firmware. My NEC 2500A does, and with excellent results. My Liteon 451@851 does too (but that's hacked).

    Just more proof that TY is great media.
