It appears to me that running the initial analysis with DVDShrink when you first "get" the files or DVD might be a quick way to check the validity of a burn or a rip. I know Shrink will freeze up tighter than a drum if any effors are detected and it seem to me a quick and dirty way to check things out. If anyone knows more than I do (you know you are out there) and would care to correct me or confirm this I would be grateful.
Thanks

Still a few bugs in the system...

Well, once I did have a bad dvd and dvdshrink did indeed freeze during the initial analysis.
I also never had a prolbem with dvdshrink when using a totally fine dvd
So I can back you up and say yes, if the dvd passes dvdshrinks' initial analysis it does mean the dvd is error free.
I came to this conclusion through my own experiences. -
not always true. I've had a couple DVDs that shrink will analyze fine then freeze later on at about 50% on one and 80% on another, one due to an error at layer change and the other due to bad sectors on the disc.
