    I have an avi file that I am trying to burn onto a DVD to view on my standalone dvd player. The avi is at 25fps, and my dvd player only supports NTSC. I used DVD workshop, and imported the avi file, and rendered out as NTSC, and burned the resulting vob files to my dvd, but the audio is out of sync.

    I suspect that the problem I'm having is when its converting from PAL to NTSC. The video plays fine, and the audio is in sync at first, but by the end of the movie, its out by about 2-3 seconds (2hr movie).

    Does anyone have any workaround solutions to this?

  2. All I know is to convert audio from 25 fps(PAL) to 29.97 fps(NTSC).

    Try TMPGEnc Plus, it may help you to achieve this.

    Thanks for the replies guys......

    What I ended up doing was;

    1. used MainConcept MPEG Encoder and converted the avi file into an mpeg2 file.

    2. used a dvd authoring program (like dvd workshop) to create the vob files.

    3. used InterVideo DVDCopy 2 to compress the file so it would fit on one dvd.

    4. used IfoEdit to edit the ifo files, and change the PAL settings to NTSC, like in this guide HERE

    5. finally used Nero to burn the files to my dvd
