I tried to use DVD Shrink 3.1.7.6 to copy Menace II Society for my brother. Id wouldn't read the DVD, saying:
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid DVD navigation structure
So, I downloaded Smart Ripper 2.41 It saw the DVD just fine, and I was able to copy stuff to my hard disk. But, when it was done, what I had left does not look like other DVD folders. There's no VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, and DVD Lab won't see it to burn. I thought about just making the folders and fiddling around, but the AUDIO_TS folders look empty, even though I'm sure they're not. I really want to know the "right" way to do this.

The " RIGHT " way of doing this is to do more reading and researching.
Now for your problem, use SmartRipper in " BackUp " mode and rip the contents of the DVD onto the HHD.
Use IFOEdit to open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and click ' Get VTS Sectors '.
Click yes on all confirmations and click save.
DVDShrink or other softwares should now be able to read the DVD.
P.S. I suggest you from now on use DVD Decrypter or SmartRipper to rip all your DVDs. Try not to use DVDShrink to do the rippings.
EDIT:
Create two new folders and name them VIDEO_TS, and AUDIO_TS.
Cut and paste all the corrected DVD contents into the VIDEO_TS folder. -
Yeah it sounds like you ripped the DVD in IFO mode, next time use File(dvddecrypter) or Backup(smartripper) mode, make sure you select "All Files".
BTW...the AUDIO_TS folder is always empty.
