I used Subtitle Workshop to make subtiles for a video

Everything seemed to go well, and I saved it as a SSA file.

But when I use VisualDub and the Subtitler filter I saw no titles (and no error messages.

    None, Zip, Nada.

Yet when I try the sample SSA file that came with the filter on the video I am trying to subtitle everything worked.

    What could have gong wrong?

Is the probem in the Subtitle Workshop, or in VisualDub, or the filter

Also try the TextSub filter in Virtual Dub, it is a extra in VobSub. Make sure you are looking at the output window or preview window in Subtitler.

After posting my question I went and downloaded Sub Station Alpha, then I imported the SSA file I made with Subtile Workshop.

After some tweaking (BTW Sub Station is far better at then Workshop) I save the new SSA file.

Then I tied to make a AVIfilm with subtitles in VisualDub.

    IT WORKED

I just don't why it did not work with just Workshop alone, but, why question technology

Now I use both programs to make subtiles. Workshop because of it preview feature, and Sub Station because of its ability to change the font/color/size of the subtitles.

    As for the other questions:

    >Make sure you are looking at the output window or preview window in Subtitler.
