  1. Hi,

I ripped the dvd to my pc.
I have one VOB file that has many clips (musics with video).
I want to put some clips on a new DVD.
So, I need to extract the clips I choose.
Well, I know I can do this using, for example, DvdShrink (selecting the start and end part of the clip).
But, making this, I still will get some VOB files, right?
Now I would like to edit the clip (in Adobe Premiere).
    What should I do now?
I confused about remux, demux, etc.
I also would like to know the best way to edit the clip with no loss of quality, and then put it VOB file format to burn a new DVD.
Thanks if someone could explain how to do this e which programs are needed.
Till now I made only backup of a DVD extracting the main movie. But would like to know how to extract parts of the VOB file, edit, and burn again in a DVD.

You can import the vobs in Premiere (at least in version 7 that I use) and edit them from there. You can also try mpeg video wizard to load ane edit the vobs or vobedit to extract the audio and video streams.

There are various programs to author the mpeg2 streams back into DVD format. Check out the Author tab in the How To section of this page and see which one suits your needs.

if you are gonna edit in adobe premiere you will lose quality. it requires reeencoding. you can ONLY do cutting and joining without lose quality. tmpgenc dvd author can both import vob files and do basic editing.
