Does anybody know if you can insure car in US when you are traveling with it to Europe ? Does anybody have experience or some information on this topic ?

well you can (but its a pain) -- but you are MUCH better off getting local insurance to avoid a lot of red tape ...
plus it usually cheaper to hire a local care or buy one there -- as long as small car ... depends in what country ...

So far problem is that they will not insure car that is registred in US. It will have to be registred locally.

If you are a member of the armed forces I believe you can license your vehicle through them if you're bringing it to Europe. Otherwise some American insurance companies will insure vehicles overseas but at high cost to you. You also need to stay a resident of the US while you insure the vehicle in the US.

Car is shipped and I will pick it up in EU....

Progressive does, but you might run into similar problems like Geico. I know they insure in England and France.
Anyone know if Lloyd's of London insures internationally for cars? I think they might and would be covered in most all european countries. -
