Hi, I've encountered a problem of which I have not found any solution. I use Tmpenc to convert an avi to mpeg-1 so that I can burn it and see it on my DVD player. Everything has worked great previously but recently in some movies, like Shrek and Exit wounds, the audio is out of sync. Its in sync in the beginning of the movie but after a few minutes its delayed several sekonds. I've tried to first use VirtualDub to sav a wav-file and then use it to convert but the problem remained. I've tried to reinstall the krystal Codec also, but nothing. Please help, cause this is eating my brain.
With regards
/ Björn

Is the avi file OK? Everytime I've encountered similar problems then it was a faulty avi file. Sometimes users try to convert the avi between NTSC and PAL and doing a lousy job or the sound part is corrupt. Check in Virtual Dub under Framerate and check if the audio and video is the same length (Vdub will suggest to change the framerate so that adio and video match). If it is ok check at the end of the avi file with mediaplayer to see/listen if sound is in synch. If all checks ok then use full processing mode on audio and save avi file or framserve to tmpgenc. Another alternative is to use lame as an external tool since tmpgenc sometimes have problems with compressed sound.
