help with a backup

ok, im trying to back up a dvd, but i have 2 problems. 1, the dvd has a french track, but when it is selected, there is also a different angle, which makes all of the words that appear on screen french, now, how can i just get rid of the french track, and the french audio? 2, the video is in widescreen, but it is not enhanced for widescreen tvs, so is there a way, other than manually going into the video and editing the bars out, the make it enhanced for widescreen tvs? thanks

did you try dvdshrink & deselect the french tracks? & any other language tracks you don't want.
