  1. I hope someone can point me in the right direction, cos I'm beginning to pull my hair out. I've got a Panasonic DVD/VHS player (NV-VP30) that refuses to play and DVD-Rs burnt on my PCs Plextor DVD drive.

The manual says that DVDs may not play depending on type of disc, etc, etc, but I've used pretty much all the "branded" DVD-Rs, (including Panasonic!), plus most of the cheap variety and it refuses all of them.

I'm using Nero to burn and have used all the settings advised on various forums, (including Panasonics own advice), but am getting NOWHERE!!!

Anybody have experience of this machine? Or can somebody help me step through some basics to check?

Can't help thinking I'm missing something........

Some DVD players simply wont play burned media no matter what brand it is.

Check your player on the compatibility chart here on this site.

Check out your dvds somewhere else. Maybe its your DVDs that have a problem, ie you're doing something wrong. Its usually unlikely that aDVd player won't play DVD-r's, especially ALL DVD-r's. Will they play on the computer, or have you tried elsewhere ?
