    It sounds to me like you have a codec missing.
    Did you actually upgrade your old install or perform a fresh install of XP?

  3. I had codecs 3.11 alpha and Divx Codec 4.02 while running Win 98 and everything worked fine. I upgraded to Win Xp and started getting that audio decoding problem. I reinstalled the codecs and no luck.

    So, I formatted my drive and installed Win Xp fresh, still to get the same error. So I have determined Win Xp seems to be the culprit but has to what and how to fix it, I have no idea.

    Looks like I might have to go back to Win 98 =(

    Right click on TMPGEnc, click compatiblity and make it run like it was under Win98. I've been usin XP for weeks now and was having problems until I installed all the codecs. Now I just got to deal with stupid broken movies from morpheus.

  6. Go to option-> environmental setting-> vfapi plug-in-> deselect AVI2(OpenDML)

    This works for me on XP with an DivX 3.11 AVI.

    Win XP has a compatability tab on the shortcut properties menu.
    It can emulate the memory and system properties of these operating systems
    Win95/98
    Win ME
    NT 4 Workstation SP6
    Win 2000
