Philips DVP642 How do VCD's play (and true chapters?)

I was looking at the user comments on this player and I am curious about few things.

I believe one user has commented that it has problems with VCDs (problem with recognizing CDs). Has anyone thoroughly tested this?

And one more major issue. I don't care about divx all that much however what I do care is true VCD chapters (created in VCDEasy with unchecking the interactivity - VCD 1.1 I believe not 2.0)

Can it play these chapters?

These are the units that I found that support true VCD chapters.

Philips DVD 951
Philips DVDR 75 *DVD Recorder
Philips DVD 711

KOSS KS3102
KOSS KS2503 (Issues with cd-r media though)

It would be great if someone could tell me if the true VCD chapters work with this unit.

Actually it's so important that if they do work I will buy this unit.

Well they don't. Just checked it at target so it doesn't look like I'll buy it.
