    im trying to convert fastnfurious divx rip to vcd mpg using tmpeg. but everytime ive tried it crashes. the file is like 600mb in avi format
    is there any way of cutting the avi file in half so its smaller.
    ive installed everything it needs, even tried doing sound first with virtual dub, but when u do system, audio/video tmpeg crashes...any ideas? any other ways of doing it?

    I have the DivX rip to that and I encoded it ti XSVCD last week with no problem. there is something going on with your computer, not the file.

    Specify what u mean when u say it crashes.
    Does it freeze, illegal operation, error message?

    VertualDub cuts AVI files up. Look under the Convert topic.
