Since you did not give a lot of details, but just general stuff, I can say from my use of WMM, that its not the best option. I would say to save in WM format, to use Windows Media Encoder 9 (free). It is more configurable and even does 2-pass encoding. Quality difference is amazing. Used it a number of times and each time after I got fed up with WMM. No more encoding in WMM for me.

  3. okay then.
I edit my film, and put the clips into the timeline. I add background music. Then i click save as. It give me different quality options. I click more options, and i choose the highest quality. It then saves. But the quality isn't as good as it was when i imported the clip.

So you are saying: save as i normally would. then use Windows Media Encoder to enhance the quality?

I will download that programme, then test it out. thanks a lot.

If you want to edit and add transitions and that kind of stuff in WMM, try saving it as an *.AVI file (if you have enough hard drive space). Then drop that *.AVI file in WMEncoder9 and do a 2-pass encode. Its very slow, but worth it if you want the best quality output.
