    I have Imb thinkpad t20. It has matsumi sr 8176 drive. It can read original disks i have but wont read disks i made.

    Can you be more specific? What kind of disks did you burn? DVD-R/RW and/or DVD+R/RW?

    If you burned dvd+r/rw, than it looks like you will have problems.
