I'm considering buying some TY media. I'd like to know what people's opinions are on the ones found here:
Silver Lacquer (Shiny Silver)
Specifically, I'd like to know about labeling the DVD. Is the surface writable with a Sharpie? If not, how can these DVD's be labeled?
Thanks for any help.

Surface is writable with a sharpie. I just got mine from rima yesterday and wrote fine on them.

You can also print on these with the inexpensive CASIO printers that you can purchase from a variety of places including RIMA.COM
A friend of mine has the CASIO CW-75 and it prints very nicely on these Taiyo Yuden discs.
We are just talking simple black text here (I think it can do simple logos as well) but it helps to make it look "professional" without all the headaches or expense of inkjet or thermal printers that cost an arm and a leg.
I intend to get one myself eventually but I never seem to have enough extra cash on me LOL
