  1. I used DVDFab to convert a DVD-9 DVD [Spirited Away] to 2 DVD-Rs.

But whenever I start the video, I get this weird angle 2 picture. It stays on top right corner, but it won't go away. Pushing angle on the remote allows me to switch between angle 1 or 2, but it doesn't seem to affect the movie in anyway. What exactly is this angle 1/2?

When I play the original DVD, I don't get the angle picture nor do I get an option to change angles. If I push angle on the remote, I get an "access denied" image stating that there aren't multiple angles. But I get multiple angles in the DVD-R backup.

    What's wrong?
    Thanks.

Actually, "access denied" most likely means that there are two angles, but the DVD prohibits switching between them.

If this is an "extended edition" DVD or something similar that has both theatrical release and director's cut then the DVD most probably uses seamless branching. Otherwise, the movie might have credits in two different languages using two angles. Either way, you'll have to use IfoEdit to verify this and to strip away the angle you don't need before splitting it into 2 discs.
