that still scares the bejesus out of you?

Movie for me: Burnt Offerings...the chauffeur...creeps me out to this day (almost 30 years later...) Mom told me back then to cover his face with a clown face...to make it better...which in itself is just creepy...

event: 9 or 10 years old...showing off in front of friends, climbing to the top of the tallest tree in the yard, only to discover an apparently unkown before fear of heights, and not being able to get back down without help and much coaxing...

I always used to be scared of the part in The Shining where the attractive naked young woman turns into a naked old hag. Gotten used to it finally so I don't wet myself.

I still have a debilitating fear of syringes which causes me to lose it at doctors' offices. When I was younger, that was my main concern in life: immunizations.

I didn't get a chance to see her in person but remember when it was being shot...they had certain sections closed off and made roadblocks and detours around the shooting area.
Made it hard to get around.

Nastassja Kinski was my neighbor for 3 months
She got into some trouble trying to bring her dog with her into one of the local malls.

Saw Jodie Foster...she was bitching up a storm about the food and service at a local truckstop - a place you'd least expect to run into a celebrity at
The people working there were actually gonna kick her out 'cause she was making a big scene.

Met Mel Gibson, Will Patton, Diane Keaton (spent most of the day standing right next to her actually), Terri Nunn, Diane Lane and Bryan Adams.

A few others that I doubt anyone would know...so won't mention them :P

  15. Not so scary as disturbing, I saw Goodfellas when I was young. I think this scene was very near the start when they open the boot of the car and find him still alive, then start stabbing him.

    Not nice.

I love that film - the scene with the guy in the boot is great. I like the way they stop off at one of the guys grandmothers for a late tea

Don't tell Cap but that clown in IT was damm scary. I wasn't that young though. Scary stuff from childhood would have to be Dr Who or someting like that.

    two things.

    no, three.
    actually, four.

one, there was a lame sci-fi B movie with aliens with big metal helmets, shaped to the brains. the hero barely escapes and killed a lot of the aliens, blood gushing from their brain helmets. don't remember the title, don't want to.

Fantastic Voyage, i was scared i was going to get eaten by white blood cells for a few years, they'd attack the doors and windows at the same time and i'd be trapped.

Xenos from the alien movies. didn't bother me until one of my older brothers friends made us play aliens with lego in a dark room. i had to sleep with the lights on for the next decade or so, even then i always had a planned exit route if i heard one coming up the stairs.

Greys from the X-files. the episode where they're in a train car screaming did it i think. i had trouble sleeping, lying paralysed with fear, not able to turn round in case there was one behind me. id like to think if confronted with an alien i'd try and communicate with it, teach about the human spirit and our diversity of culture. in truth of course i'd probablt beat it to death with a shoe

  18. i always found the end scene of Casino where Joe Peski & His Bro get the hell beaten out of them with base ball bats and burried alive hard to watch! a bit of hardcore violence is OK, but the scene is so long u think they should show at least a bit of mercy at the end but they dont.

apparently The Ring (Original Japenese version with subtitles) is VERY scary but i have never actually seen it

    2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website

Another great moment in film - this is stomach churning, its amazing how you can have sympathy with pescis character at this point but you still feel sorry for him.

ooooh, that's a good one. that still creeps me as well.

for me, the movie Let's Scare Jessica To Death still scares the hell out of me. super creepy. my local tv station would invariably air that movie and Trilogy of Terror as the after school movie when it was "horror week".

as for life experience - probably getting robbed at gunpoint, half a block from my house, when I was 17. Having a .45 in your face quickly puts a lot of stupid teen shit into perspective.

The Hellraiser series. They don't scare me though. I'm way past getting scared in movies. But that series was mildly disturbing

Oh yeah, thanks Housepig. Trilogy Of Terror - the skit with the little indonesian statue that came to life. That was pretty scary.

  25. 2 things...

One was a segment from Tales From The Crypt when a little wooden doll with a spear comes to life and starts chasing and stabbing some woman.

2nd...and I am not sure what it was from...but it was a segment with a younger Ted Dansen from Cheers who gets buried up to his neck in sand at the beach while his killer watches the tide come in on a closed circuit television. He then comes back to life and attacks him.

That was one of the Stephen King trilogies, like Catseye or something like that, I think. That was a great one

The witch and monkies in the wizard of oz...although, in my later years...looking at the witch...I'd hit it.

    The matrix....could it be true

Children of the corn.....house is surrounded by cornfields.

    Fatal attraction....(helps keep me faithful)

Seriously though, I don't really remember a movie having that much impact on me. The only thing that goes bump in the night that has me concerned is the boogie man...."BOOGIE MAN quick, you nail the windows shut, I'll get the gun"

  28. There was this show about paramedics...Rescue 911, hosted by William Shatner. After watching that I would always have toruble sleeping, being afraid that my house would burn down.

And I thought that Shatner guy was spooky too .

Childhood event: My mom told me this one guy who had no legs from the knee down lost them from laying in the road. He actually had a rare disease and had them amputated when he was really young, but I never ran in the raod after she told me that. That's about as scary event as I could think of.

Movie: Faces of Death and Traces of Death series. Those are freaky. Movies of people committing suicide or accidental death caught on tape. One had a guy blow his head off with a shot gun. This wasn't fake either. It's not snub because it's not taped murder. Just private released footage. Another had a guy working on his truck and it came off the blocks and pinned him to wall. You saw no blood, but a surprised red face and then later the eyes roll back and the guy goes limp. He was in his garage taping a truck modification.
