once I make a final dvd , is there a way to save if after encoded it to make extra copies later on ?

Yes, when you burn, choose Create DVD folders and/or Create disc image file. They can be reburned later, even with different software, e.g., Nero Burning ROM (for both), DVDDecrypter, Alcohol 120% (for disc images), etc.
Of course if you didn't do that in the first place, you can always make yourself a one for one copy of the disc you burned. No need to rip it or anything. You can use Nero, Alcohol, etc. for this. The only thing I recommend there is to avoid "on the fly" copying, unless you like to live dangerously. Copy it to your hard drive first for more reliable burning.
