  1. Im using this program for first time.

I ripped a PAL DVD and it finished but the output has pink blocks all on it, its not removed the macrovision it seems. Plays back pefect on pc and DVD2AVI though (the original ripped files)

I checked DVD Decrypter and it definetly is set to brute force take out macrovision.

    any ideas?

My CCE SP doesnt let me save ECL files so I cant use it so I am using the basic version.

    Thanks

  2. You probably need ECLCCE.

Have you looked at this guide:

  3. hey thanks that sorted it by changing to the SP.

I get errors when I do 3 click method. I have only done one click once and it worked fine. The error is when its doing the rebuild and it says it has had a n overflow error and program crashes to desktop.

    ?

  4. Sorry I can't help you with that problem. But may I suggest heading over to the doom9 forums. I think that there others with your same problem, plus who knows, the author of the prog. might troubleshoot for you.

  5. For the initial problem i got this from www.doom9.org DVD-RB FAQ. This helped me when i was seeing red.

Q4. I set everything up -- but nothing seems to happen and/or I get video that is a black screen with orange/red lines at the bottom.

A4. You probably are having a problem with the location of MPEG2DEC3DG.DLL. In the installation instructions (see the REBUILDER.TXT file) it tells you to put that file in the AVISYNTH Plugins directory. That should work. But some 3rd party software designers (bless their hearts) have decided to change the AVISYNTH registry entry to another location... You fix that by entering the setup dialog of DVD-RB and pointing directly to the MPEG2DEC3.DLL file -- also, click on the "Add to AVS File" checkbox.

For the second problem i would do a search @ www.doom9.org in the DVD-Rebuilder section for the exact error you are getting. Lots of useful info.

  6. I havent had the problem again I dont know what it was

    anyway..

I have a DVD, a concert that I want to test out using DVD-RB.
I tend to split it onto 2 dvd-r with dvd-shrink at chapter points.
Is there a way to do this with DVD-RB so i can recode with CCE or just split it evenly with space still left over and the menu still remain.

  7. I think splitting to 2 disks is a waste of DVD-Rs, but that is just my opinion. CCE quality is so good that you could have it on 1 pass VBR and it will still look as good as the original, so there is no need to split the movie among 2 disks. I use 3 - 5 VBR passes and the quality is superb.

  8. well i put it to single disc and it looked ok. 3 pass encode.
The concert is about 2 and half hour long so I would like to split it and keep menu.
Even if it doesnt seem reasonable I wouldnt mind knowing how you would do such a thing with the program.

The whole process took about 3 hours so it was pretty good.

  9. DVD-rb cannot, and probably will not, split a dvd. But to do that you should look into a program called DVDfab, I think there is a free version available, and it will do all that you just asked for.
