one of my friends has a lexus (totally plushed out) w/ a GPS/DVD screen; only prob is that u cant watch movies while ur driving. i guess they do this b/c its in the front seat and they think the driver will watch it and crash. it seems dumb to me to have a DVD player in ur car when u can only watch it while parked.

Is there a way to (easily) defeat this, i.e. w/out ******* w/ the car's computer? i think it senses when the car is in "Drive" and won't play.

this question might sound dumb, but thanx for any replies/flames ahead of time.

Let me think , allow the driver to watch a film whilst driving - What a F***ing stupid idea.

Since you give no other reason for wanting to do it.

I would agree with andyp1 with his statement on driving and watching a video, TV, or whatever at the least time.

But in Japan...you see GPS, DVD, TV Tuner units in most of cars over here. The reason of course they have 10 times more traffic then the average city in the US. When you are stuck in traffic for hours....yeah....I could see it. Stuck in traffic and going nowhere fast!!

Naturalzinc....I don't think this forum be my first choice in finding the info you are seeking.

However...do a web search for some auto customizing place....I'm sure someone has the info you will need.

    Good Luck

    Best Regards

k, thanx for the replies guys.

andyp1, while i agree w/ about the driver, you screw the passengers in the car out their fun :P. like i said it's my friend's car, and im the passenger, get it now?

but i do have other friends w/ after market DVD players installed in the dash that allow u to watch while the car is in motion. the lexus is factory installed tho, so...eh seems like a waste of a DVD player to me. who sits in a parked car to watch a movie on a 4 in screen? i guess there are some. dang im rambling...time 4 bed :P
