My Panasonic DMR-E85H is setup in an inclosed custom cabinet along with a DirecTivo, Receiver, CD player, and VCR. When I put my hand on top of the E85 it feels hot while the DirecTivo which also has a hard drive fells normal. This is when the unit is turned off. The ambient air temperature inside the cabinet is about 92 degrees. A temperature probe placed on top of the E85 registers about 104 degrees.
Can anyone else with a E85 tell me if there's feels hot? I've heard rumors that some early E85s have died due to excess heat. Mine was manufactured in March 2004. Should I be concerned?
