  1. Hello

I have some problem ripping dvds.
I have burnt a couple of movies now, and it have worked pretty good so far. I use CloneDvd and AnyDvd.

    But....
Three movies in a row just went pancake the last couple of days.
After using about 10 dvd-rs on these three movies I tried to burn a movie I burnt a month ago. It works. (Just as it did a month ago)

So, there must be something wrong with these three original dvds.
    Or?

My PC will not play them (PowerDvd, Mediaplayer etc) and my standalone Dvd will not play them (The display shows some goofy characters I havent seen before). The menu does not appear.

CloneDvd does not complain about burning. 100 % and all good.
But when I browse the dvd all files seem to be there. vob etc.

When I right click and choose a large vob file, and open it with PowerDvd the movie plays. So, I get the felling that something is wrong with the "structure" or the menu(?)

It works perfectly with Negotiator and it does not work at all with Full metal jacket. (And two other movies aswell)

    Oh, one more thing.
When I insert a healthy dvd, XP asks me I would like to open it with PowerDvd or mediaplayer and some more options.
When I insert an unhealthy dvd, XP shows me the folder containing the folders VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.
Which means that I will have to manually open PowerDvd.
(The movie doesent play as I explaind earlier)

    This is what im using:

    Windows XP SP1
    AnyDvd 3.2.1.1
    CloneDvd 1.3.11.2 (I even tried 2.0.8.4)
    Pioneer dvr-106

I have searched the forum for answers.
If there were any, Im sorry if I missed it.

Please give some tip to try.

    Thanks / Andreas....

    Update:
I have tried one of these three movies with dvdxcopy platinum with the same tragic result...

  4. Sorry, but I can't answer the reason why. But when in doubt try some other things.
