  1. I tried a Clone DVD-RW in my Pioneer DVR-5100 for the first time. After I watched one of the chapters and then deleted it, the second time I loaded the disc I got the error message "unable to read disc".

As there are 6 other programmes on the disc, I wondered if there are any utilities which may help me recover the files?

As the unfinalised 5100 discs uses a proprietary disc fomat I cannot read them on my PC.

Needless to say that I wont be using these discs anymore.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks for any info.

  2. Using a packet writing software on your PC (Sonic is no good, try to get Roxio), I am able to read my DVD-VR disks fine on my PC. I can copy the .vro file to the hard drive, then use DVD Movie Factory 2 to edit.
