    hello all,

whenever i convert PAL 25fps movies to PAL MPEG-2s using TMPGEnc Plus, the output quality is immaculate and i have no problems. however, the problems begin to arise when i process 29.971fps or 23.976fps NTSC movies using this program, unfortunately the output MPEG-2s are jittery and unsmooth. i read somewhere that when processing a 29fps NTSC movie, "3:2 pulldown" had to be selected? is this correct? also, when i introduce a 29fps NTSC movie into TMPGEnc to be converted, it automatically begins to process an "inverse telecine", which obviously does not help. which settings should i use when dealing with 23.976fps and 29.971fps NTSC movies? can anyone shed some light?

any help/suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
