OK, I'm hoping that somebody will tell me that one of those $50 Apex DVD players will do what I need.....
1. Play a DVD-/+R disk with a bunch of MPEG2 files on it. I don't want to have to make this a complient disk, just a bunch of files.
2. Output to a PAL television. (At least I think that's the standard here in Kuwait)
3. Take 220@50hz.
Anybody got any sugestions?

Your TV sounds close to UK spec.
I've got a ellion 520C, plays MPEG4 (divX, xvid) and also unauthored MPEG1/2. Don't know where you can get one locally, mine was from scan.co.uk. The eillion site is www.elliondigital.com
Hope this helps -
