  1. Mi computer (Dell Dimension L667r) doesn't have any open slots left, and i can't put an internal dvd-rom drive. So I an looking 4 an external dvd-rom drive or something that i can put into mi computer so i can read and rip DVDs. The only problem is that all the people that i talked to on tech-support said that i cant use a FIREWIRE dvd-rom drive since i have a USB port.

Does anyone know where i can purchase an EXTERNAL dvd-rom drive or anything else so that i can read and rip DVDs?!?

    Thanx a loT!

DVD players now play CD-R and CD-RW.

Just replace ur IDE CD-Rom with a DVD Rom.

I know Iomega makes a CD-RW/DVD-ROM but it's USB so it's not gonna be super fast./

Ur best bet is to replace ur CD-ROM with a DVD-ROM.

I have a laptop with a DVD. IT is

    8x DVD
    48x CD

Do you have any spare PCI card slots.

If you have a spare PCI card slot, you could open up your computer and add a Firewire hub.
