  1. Has anybody here tried the firmware upgrade (1.13) for the Pioneer A07? I'm running Panther 10.3.3 with Toast 6.05 and would like to burn DVD-R 4x media at 8x. I've read that PC users are successful with Nero, but haven't seen any results for Mac.

  2. I flashed my 107D (oem version of A07) to 1.13. No problems. The official Pioneer 1.13 firmware does not let you burn 4x media at 8x. You need hacked firmware to do that. Official pioneer firmware only lets you burn discs at their maximum rated speed.

Were you able to flash your drive from Mac OS, or did you have to use a PC?

  6. Reports I've read stated that they could only be flashed on a mac with VPC via USB2 but not firewire.
What exactly is rotten in Denmark?
