  1. Ive just bought a SonyDigital 8 TRV355. I have tried to play back my old 8mm tapes using the piexla image maker, they are easily converted into mpeg, but unfortunately there isnt any sound when they are transferred onto my pc. Can you please help me, Im fairly new to this.

  3. I just used my USB cable for connection for the cam and pc. Im sure I followed the instructions which Im sure didnt mention anything about using a sound cable. Can you please enlighten me I would be extremely grateful.

  4. I believe your camcorder has a firewire (i.Link) connection and that's what you should probably be using for the transfer.

    Even when using firewire, though, I don't hear sound through my PC speakers during the transfer.

  5. Hello,

    When you use the usb connection you are capturing video only without any sound. Primarily the feature is there so that you may use the camera as a webcam as well. If you want to capture both sound and video you should use a firewire cable...it connects on the left hand side ofthe camera where that flap is...the location it goes in is right next to the DV cable location. you might need a 4 pin to a 6pin connection depending on your capture card. I hope this helps you.
