Sonic MyDVD problem

Still another MyDvd problem. Yes, I used Mr. Searchy and found out most don't like MyDvd. But, I didn't see the problem I have with it. I go through all the steps and when I push the burn button, I get error msg: no combination of intermediate filters could be found to make connections (32772). From what I've been able to learn, this has something to do with a codec conflict most likely associtated with DIVX and/or WinAmp. I've uninstalled all DIVX and WinAmp components I could find. It didn't help. I've contacted Sonic, and they've been less than helpful. It looks like I'm gonna have to ditch Sonic, unless someone knows a fix. I'm open to suggestions for other software. I'm looking to burn mostly MPEG from my hard drive, and convert VHS. BTW, the Sonic came with a Lite On burner.

Thanks for the reply. That's what the support people at Sonic said to do. It didn't work. Nothing is trying to use any other video program when I try to burn. Clean uninstall-reinstall didn't work. Same error msg occurs. Somewhere in their FAQs it says that problem was fixed in an earlier version than the one I have, but they're wrong. I haven't heard anything back from them in a couple of days, so I think I'm on my own. That's why I asked about other software, in case Sonic can't help.
