I used virtualdubmod to save the vob file that i wanted from a dvd onto my computer and it made a .avi file of it and it was like 7.6gb or something and its only a 2:00 clip... i am going to be adding this into another home movie of mine that has yet to be made into mpeg2... i am going to put the .vob file that i made into an avi on the dvd with my home video as an extra features section... how do i do this if the .avi file is 7.6gb? i am going to be using tmpgenc dvd author to do the chapters and stuff too

  2. Doesn't matter how big the avi is. When you encode to mpeg to author it, it will "shrink" to the size you want based on the bitrate you choose.
