  1. Hi,
Sorry, I'm sort of low level: Is it possible to burn my video files onto my onboard DVD recorder bit by bit, as I do (recording TV shows) with my stand alone DVD recorder, using DVD-R discs? I mean, can I record 5 minutes of images one day and the next continue, or would I have to burn the whole disc in one session? Thank you.

I'm relatively certain it needs to be done all at once. If your graphics card has a video out you can run your computer's a/v straight into your standalone DVD recorder.

  3. Yea, probably makes sense that it should be done in one session. Trouble is I first have to compose all the scenes in the right order first on my hard disc, which means having to convert files from one format to another etc etc...phew! So far I haven't been able to convert NRG image (NERO) files to AVI for editing...Do you know of a *good* software convert program to do that?
    Thank you.

You dont "Convert" an NRG image. What you can do though...is use a Virtual Device to mount it, and then extract the necesary file(s). Alcohol 120% has a good built-in virtual device. I don't think Daemon Toolz can mount an NRG image...so its either burn this disc image, or pay for alcohol 120% to use its virtual device.

  5. ah..I see...and I know that Instant Copy (Pinnacle) gives me .pdi files. Are they easier to convert (for later editing) to AVI?
    Thank you.
