    Authoring programme to use if I want to put backgroung music in my authored dvd, i use tmpg author at the moment but this doesn't do that. When i say backgroung music on the authored dvd i mean when the main menu appears i want back groung music there.

    Ulead DVD MovieFactory does it. But TDA is, IMHO, so much better, sound not withstanding.

    You can have music in the main menu clip in tmpgenc dvd author,just make a short video clip with audio muxed in and specify to use audio of the background video as the menu bgm in the motion menu settings.
