Im using their software and the above card. I cant capture uncompressed video from a mini dv tape at 720x480 ntsc. I can capture at 320 x 240, and i could previously capture at 720 x 480 using my old 8mm tape camcorder. HELP. Im using no codec im just doing an uncompressed .avi file for editing, i dont know what to do next.
Thanks

If it's a DV cam it should have a firewire (i-link, 1394....) connection correct? Connect it to your firewire , if you don't have one I suggest getting one. Before purchasing any pci cards for this purpose check to see if you already have a 1394 internal port on your MB. If that's the case its simply a matter of buying an adapter.
Transferring DV through your firewire port is so much easier than doing it with analog and it's essentially a lossless transfer. Almost like copying the footage from one harddrive to the another.
I have a Winfast 2000XP, the quality is not all that great, I would never consider transferring any DV video via analog.
