This is my second movie to backup. I am using dvddecryptor, dvd2one, and copytodvd. I have followed the guide to backup the whole movie. When I try to burn the disc with copytodvd I get an error message: Please insert writeable media, required free space estimation 4.46 gb, the media doesn't have enough free space.
The disc is a ritek dvd-r. I was given the discs (5 in all). Could this simply be the media? Now I was able to back up just the movie and burn it to one of these discs without a problem. I'm just wondering why I am getting this error.

    Thanks for any info.

I don't know this will work, but take the movie you ran with
dvd2one and run it again in dvd2one. Or use DVD Shrink and see what
    happens.

I have the size in dvd2one set to 4.3gb. I can't understand why it is actually 4.46gb.

I use DVD2ONE and I enter 4400MB as the total size and never have a rpoblem with it.

    4400MB is approximately 4.3GB

Are you using the latest version of DVD2ONE because you should have gotten a final size of 4.29 or 4.30 with a custom size of 4400MB

However there was at least one (or more) older versions of DVD2ONE that did calculate the size wrong giving you a slightly bigger size in the end.

So all I can figure is that you have and are using one of those "buggy" versions.

  10. The oversize issue is discussed in detail on the DVD2One official forum. www.dvd2one.com/forum/

The problem appears in the final version 1.40 aswell. I had this problem backing up Master & Commander in full disk mode. Movie only caused no problems.

I mostly almost always do MOVIE ONLY mode but I just did a FULL DISK back-up recently and didn't have a problem. This was with 1.4.0

I'll have to look at that thread you linked ...
