  1. Does anyone know from where the .mdb file extension originates and/or how to play a .mdb file. Alternativeltly, how do you convert an .mdb file to .avi and/or .mpg for SVCD and DVD authoring?

  2. I ran a search on Google and identified all the possible .MDB filetypes. Here are the results:

    http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=MDB

It's most likely to be "Mediator Multimedia Data" which belongs to this company:

I'm afraid I don't know how to convert this, and there don't seem to be any guides on VideoHelp that cover this format.

Where did you obtain this file? It may be worth asking whoever gave it to you, or contacting MatchWare themselves about it.

Hope this gives you a starting point,

    Cobra

  3. I don't have Alcohol 120% installed on my pc at the moment but i'm fairly sure that an .MDB file is an image file created by Alcohol 120%.

I don't think so. Alcohol creates .mds and .mdf files for its proprietary image format.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but are you *sure* it's not a Microsoft Access database?

    It's the right extension . . . . .
