I almost bought the 5001, but then decided I would wait for a dual format recorder so I could share DVDs with family/friends with less compatibility hassles. When the 5005 came out I was glad I had waited.
One additional feature I wanted was to be able to record stereo music to a CD-R/RW. I was happy to see that the 5005 seemed to be able to record to CD-R/RW, but from what I have read it is unclear as to whether it will record audio in stereo, or mono only.
From the discussions on various forums, I gather that if you set it up correctly, you can record video to DVD with stereo audio, but I need a definitive answer on the audio alone to CD question.
Help me out here - the Duckman episodes I am saving on my Tivo are starting to fillup the available space.![]()
TIA

Is my question not clear?
Or is it that this recorder is so new that nobody has the answer yet? -
I think mono is only from coax. The others are stereo.

You could always read the manual.
