  1. I have this one Star Trek DVD which has a awesome clip before the movie starts with motivational sound track with short clips from several star trek movies and shows.

does anybody know what these clips are called?

maybe they are considered the same thing as like at the beginning of most moves there is the roaring lion or the 20th century video clip......

but what is that called and how could you find them?

I'd call it either an intro, or an advert :P

If you want to take the clip off the disc, just pop it in your DVD-Rom, grab dvdshrink, and look through the disc to find it, then extract it. easy as pie.

dependant on the movie studio, it's probably illegal to capture them and put them up online, so you're treading on thin ice!

i imagine they are out there, but this isn't the place to look, we try to keep the place clean!

  5. If I asked what it was called when one individual forced another to have sex, would this also mean that i had commited rape?

I just was wondering what they were called. Therefore, I was not asking where to find them or for someone in these forums to give them to me.

Plug that into your rape analogy.

It seems some people like to paint a foot-shaped target on their butts.

If you are talking about when the DVD is first put into the player and before the menu shows, that is generally considered the "first play" item on a DVD.

If you mean something that is played after a menu item is selected, it is called a "transition".

I was just trying to warn you off the subject in a friendly way, hence my smilie. if people get wind of warez threads turn into flames. as this is a grey area it's best to not talk about it. carry on if you like, and use whatever analogy you like - i am only warning you you'll get plenty of flak from other folks.
