It would work for me. If they don't think I can drink $100 worth of beer in just a few games they are nuts...it is 3-4 hours per game.

Seems to me that they would make their money back plus if they opened a cab company to drive the folks home.

  2. This is a GREAT idea.

I've seen how people drive in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area. This oughta bring the personal injury attorneys out of the woodwork.

Funny you should mention that...I was in Florida last summer (near Orlando)...is there no one in florida that has anywhere to be at any certain time?? I swear I have never driven on highways with slower people in my life. ALSO it seemed that they were not aware that the left lane is the fast lane and the right lane is for the slow bastards with no place to be at any certain time. My road rage was all lathering up...but all was OK, I was in a rental car acting out a NASCAR fantasy blazing down through traffic, weaving all over the place.

Back to the topic...you know, giving away free beer would save some of us the trouble of sneaking it in At a Reds' game beer was $5.25 a cup or something like that...give me a break

It doesn't help that the median age in Florida is like 70 or something

  5. People who are already intoxicated aren't served beer and free taxi rides are provided to patrons who believe they have had too much to drink, Wickett said.
At least they're trying to have a sensible element to it. However, it will probably encourage people to drink far too much and may ultimately lose them money - would you want to be watching over your shoulder incase the big guy behind you has had a little too much beer mixed with a little too much jumping about?
