  1. I have a pioneer Dv-440, and it plays all of my backups just fine, but adter a few months of just playing back ups, it now has a problem with loading originals. They work maybe 10% of the time. I have seen this happen with a few different players owned by a few friends who I have made backups for in the past. What I want to know is, does anyone else have this problem, and/or does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

get a hammer, just kidding. You might want to try cleaning both the lens in the player, and the disc

  4. tried that. When I put an original in it sounds like the player either doesn't spin up correctly, or it is making a few frantic searches before it just stops and says there is not a good disk in the drive. It is like the player "learned" only to play back ups. I have heard of a few other people having this problem, but I am wondering if this is a rather common thing.
