Didn't know where best to post this so...
I am looking for an easy to use no hassle tool to convert my DVs into XviD. For example, AutoGK is so easy to use for converting DVD to XviD, but I can't find a parallel tool for DV source.
I tried VirtualDub with two pass XviD encoding with some filters on a half an hour DV movie (6 gigs). It took 15 hours to encode and the outcome was not that great. AutoGK takes 6 hour for two passes and the outcome is great. Anyway, I'd rather not hassle so much with VirtualDub or the likes. Just want a three clicks DV to XviD tool.
I'm statring to think of converting my DVs to DVDs and then use AutoGK on that (loosing quality twice).
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there isn't an Xvid encoding tool like what you describe. The only thing that comes close is Dr. Divx, but then again it's Divx. I suspect the reasons why your Virtualdub encode took so long is because of the filters you used and perhaps keeping the same 720x480 resolution.
